It’s time for Software Engineer Aaron, to step up to the plate in our next ‘60 seconds with…’. Here’s what he likes most about working at Rotaready, why Mauritius is his dream holiday destination and what his choice of super power would be…

What did you do before working at Rotaready?

\n\n\n\n

Before Rotaready, I was working as a freelance software engineer for a boutique marketing agency in NYC. Before that, however, I was traveling the world with my wife teaching ESL to Chinese children.

\n\n\n\n

What do you like most about your job?

\n\n\n\n

Honestly love the people. My workspace and those I surround myself with are the epitome of a happy job. I can find work anywhere as a developer, but the people really make a job worth staying at.

\n\n\n\n

Where do you see yourself in 20 years time?

\n\n\n\n

20 years man… I’ll be working remotely with my wife in a tropical destination soaking up the sun and swimming in the sea. Nothing much will change 😏

\n\n\n\n

If you weren’t working in the Development team which role would you take on?

\n\n\n\n

I’ve always had a knack for marketing, a bit of sales and design. Could be a little of each of them really!

\n\n\n\n

What’s your dream holiday destination?

\n\n\n\n

Currently it’s Mauritius. Something about the water and the snorkeling is calling.

\n\n\n\n

What’s your favourite meal?

\n\n\n\n

As a native Californian, Mexican food is always a go to. Finding good Mexican food in England can be a challenge though…

\n\n\n\n

What are you most likely to be found doing at the weekend?

\n\n\n\n

Love dancing, dressing up to express, and listening to good music. Also hikes, festivals and weekends away exploring somewhere new.

\n\n\n\n

What would you sing at Karaoke night?

\n\n\n\n

Probably something by Queen or Journey. Love their music.

\n\n\n\n

If you could have one super power what would it be?

\n\n\n\n

Definitely flight. I dream about it often and wish I could fly around the world.
